Bitterly Cold Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Everyone! it's a bitterly cold winter day with mostly overcast skies and temperatures that are barely out of the single digits.
The dog groomer was supposed to come this morning, but she texted last night that she was sick, and we rescheduled for next week. I'm so happy that I can sit and relax, enjoy my coffee and not have to have the groomer here. I feel bad for the pup because she is a few weeks overdue for her bath, cut, etc. I knew I should have had her done before Christmas, but it is what it is. At least the pup is warm with her overgrown fur coat.
I overate sweets during the holidays so I'm on a sugar detox for January. The past few days have been rough. I'm avoiding the temptation of the chocolates and cookies that are still here and am probably going to pack them up and send them home with my oldest daughter when I see her in the next day or two.
I think I'm going to make turkey sausages with peppers & onions with rice for dinner.
Meanwhile I have some catching up to do here. I was here yesterday and then the site went down and I never got back to chat.

The weather isn’t the least bit nice here. 
But, thank God, my house is warm, I’m warm, and I don’t have anywhere to go until March 10. Maybe we’ll be thawed out by then.

We are getting a snowstorm tomorrow, but at least it will actually be warmer than it has been with the temperatures in the teens. But at least we’ve had sunshine. I’m sorry you’ve been stuck with overcast skies. Since we’re having a snow storm tomorrow I am glad my doctor appointment was today, and I was able to pick up my medication.

Detoxing off sugar is so so hard! Was harder for be when I’ve tried it then quitting smoking.
My parents gave us dark meat from a Turkey they didn’t want. No one ate any here so we fed it to the dogs today.
The pup you mentioned is it actually a puppy? The last notes I have said you had a 12 year old dog named Mush.

Pretty chilly here today too. I will have to check the forecast. We had v. cold temps last night too, and I wish the sun would break out and get some melting started.

Your dinner sounds delicious.
Here, the weather will turn cold towards the weekend. Temperature will be around 6-7C which is cold by HK standard as we only have portable heaters.

Get those goodies out of the house. If it were me I'd end up eating more. I am having a nice day. Just had my trout dinner delivered and enjoyed it. Now to finish Mylotting and then some TV.

I know what you mean about a sugar detox. My husband's cousin gave me a whole bunch of my favorite candies for Christmas. Fortunately they're all gone. Have a good day.

We've had cold weather too.
Yesterday it snowed really hard all day long, and all night long.
We got about 30 cm of snow and everything was shut down this morning because it was still coming down and the city hadn't plowed the streets.
I feel for you with your detox, I am doing the same, and it is hard.

We were going to wait until tomorrow to go get groceries and pick up meds at the pharmacy but the forecast changed and now shows snow for Thursday and Friday so Pretty wants to do our running today. We're only at 22F and that's too cold to go outside, in my opinion. *sigh*

I'm sorry the groomer was sick. It's good you rescheduled.
I have lots of Christmas chocolate too, and pounds to take off. I got rid of two of them yesterday, but my friend and I went to Culver's yesterday. Those two pounds might be short-lived. I'm getting ready to weigh myself and get dressed.
