It was a pretty good movie, although riddled with historical inaccuracies. The weird thing about it, was that it had hardly any dialogue and they spoke in the Mayan language the whole time, and of course I did not understand. I was watching TUBI on the TV, and could not get to the place where I could get the subtitles. I could on my phone but it wouldn't cast to the screen. I tried to follow along with the phone so I could get the dialogue, but after awhile I gave it up. I could basically figure out the plot without dialogue. It was about human sacrifice and was interesting and horrorifying at the same time. I recommend it, but not if you are squeamish.

I am OK with it, as long as it isn't really upfront and personal. As I was saying up above, not sure I would want to see it on a big movie screen...at least some of it.

It was out quite some time ago so I don't know what the reviews were. I imagine on the high side

@snowy22315 I remember a few stated that it was a hard movie to follow but that's about it. I don't remember any other ones.

@JordanLader I didn't find it hard at all. Funny, what people think. There were a couple of places that seemed a bit hazy, but the theme was all there.

They did, but it might have been the Aztec's who did more human sacrifice. That isn't what I was complaining about in terms of historical accuracy though, like at the end of the film spoiler alert..they had the arrival of Columbus. He did not arrive on the Mexican coast. He was involved with the Taino indians who were not warlike.

@snowy22315 You are right, Columbus never reached Mexican Coast. He discovered the Tainos, in the Caribbean and they were known for their generosity.

@LadyDuck Exactly..He probably just thought having Columbus show up at the end would be a nice touch for the movie.

The name of the movie sounds familiar. If I saw it, I don't remember anything about it. Have a good day.

i have seen the movie and i liked it. i found it accidentally while switching channels on the tv and i started watching. and it was so interesting to me how it caught my attention without any word being said and without me watching it from the beginning.

Yeah, like I said, I couldn't get the subtitles on my regular TV, but after getting them on the phone for a while, I found they weren't really necessary.

I don't think I could watch it, with human sacrifice. I'm not really squeamish, but I really don't like realistic violent movies, so there's that.

I am not sure I would want to watch it on a big screen. It might be a bit much.

I just can't deal with some of the scenes in some movies. They are just too real.

I have never seen it, but as you describe it, I am not a fun of those kind of movie. I would love to watch a romcom movie instead.
