The Orange County Sheriffs Office (OCSO) is warning residents of Apopka Florida to stay inside their residences since a black bear has been seen walking around the houses on New Years Day. The reason that the OCSO deputies are telling the residences to stay home is because bears are looking for food and they will harm anyone who attempts to shoo them away when a bear is eating a meal. A helicopter with the OCSO did spot the bear walking around the back of houses and they are doing their part to warn people to avoid getting hurt dealing with bears. Hopefully the residences of Apopka will heed the warnings from the authorities. Link is abc3340.com/news/offbeat/b...

That is close to Orlando. I wonder if any of the Disney animals escaped. The bear must be hungry to go so close to Apopka.

I would not like to live close to any type of wild animal, bears, alligators, wolves, etc.
