Thanks to the teamwork of the West Hartford Fire Department and West Hartford Police Animal Control who answered an emergency call from an eyewitness who saw a deer fall into frozen water at a reservoir on Tuesday December 24.
The firefighters and animal control officers managed to rescue the deer close to the shore alive which made it great for the firefighters to get the deer out of the frozen water into the shore where an animal control officer determined that the deer was healthy enough to go into the forest safely.
