Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It is 12:48 PM and I am enjoying some sunlight rocking on my chair in the warm sun in my balcony. And I have my mobile phone in my hand to mylot. This is like living Sunday of my dream. We had a small get together of around 12 people last evening..well it was four of us, one family of four and my nephew and two nieces. It went till 2 AM and we slept till 8 in the morning. While that family left, my nephew and niece stayed back. They just left after the brunch. It was a good get together and we enjoyed a lot. I have enough leftover to save me from cooking today . I would try to clear up and arrange my cupboard if I am in a mood. The Sunday becomes happier knowing that it's a long weekend till Wednesday. And so the working week is too short, only for two days. We have three days holiday on 13, 14, and 15 on account of Pongal/ Makar Sankranti. The first festival of the year is here. We have some or the other festival every month. It's exam time for everyone, it's mid term or pre board exams for children. So, this three day holiday can be used for study leave for students. My daughter has her Mathematics and Accountancy exams on Thursday and Saturday. She is happy to get these holidays to prepare for. I hope that everyone is having a good weekend. Hoping for a good week ahead for you all. A long weekend will have more time to be online. Stay happy and healthy. See you in the notifications for a while.

Vince and his brother stayed up till after 3am last night so it will be early to bed for us. I went to bed about 1am but I still won't mind an early night.

It's 3:30 PM here and I might take a short nap anytime. I will also like to go for an early bed today.

Wish you Happy Makar Sankranti. I was planning to go to Prayagraj to have a dip in the Sangam; but it is perhaps not possible. I have to manage my store. Recently I had been to Ayodhya. I had a darshan there and came back. That was a great; divine experience.

@arunima25 No;no; this time it is the Mahskumbh that will be not after 12 years; but after 144 years. This time the situation of the sun and the planets is the same as it was at the time of the " Samudra Manthan." Our great grandsons will perhaps have the opportunity to have a dip in the Sangam at that divine moment. Actually we all have many problems.Sometimes we fail to do what we heartily wish to. After 144 years I'll not be hear to see the great Mahakumbh.

@Shivram59 Oh! Yes. I heard it in the news. It's rare and a lucky opportunity for the current people.

Happy Makar Sankranti. Sorry that you can not take the holy dip due to your other commitments. Well, it will happen when it has to happen. That's what I strongly believe in. My sister in law went there today for the dip. She is so impressed with the law and order other arrangements there. It's incredible to take care of one crore everyday. Well, it would be wait for another 12 years. That's too long. Hopefully they continue with the similar kind of arrangements. I have a plan to visit Ayodhya this year. Keeping fingers crossed that it works out

Yes, I had a good long weekend of five days. I kept them calm and relaxed, but productive too. Slowly, I got a few things done around the house. Today is the last day and we get back to business as usual from tomorrow

Thank you Valerie. Yesterday was a good family get together again to enjoy the traditional brunch for the festival . Her previous papers went well. She seems well prepared for her paper tomorrow. This break helped her do a thorough revision.

Yes, we have so many festivals and celebrations. But we get holidays for the major ones from all the faiths. And even that's a good number . It's truly a land of festivals and celebrations.

Since I was back after my vacation , the long drive made me to go bed by midnight. Woke up early today as I had lot of things to be done. Cleaning, washing clothes and well arrnaging things for the week. Although I have leave only on Tuesday , I am still working to complete the tasks in hand. Plus , I do not have holidays till around March and cannot take leave as I do have challenges in getting some items completed. Well, it is great to have holidays .Especially for your daughter. When exams are nearing, holidays are best to help us to balance the studies and be more prepared.Enjoy the long weekend!

There can be a lot to do and catch up after a vacation. One has to also get started with the business as usual. My daughter is happy to get these days off. These two subjects need more days to prepare. She is happy that the festival brought some good study leave in between her exam. Things will be busy with us too till March as it is the last semester and end of academic year. A lot needs to be done. Have a good week at work.
