Day 360 – Tabernacle 1 Chronicles 17:1 Now it happened, when David dwelt in his house, he said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of JEHOVAH is under tent curtains.” 2 Then Nathan said to David, “Do everything in your heart, for Elohiym is with you.” 3 However, it happened that night the word of Elohiym came to Nathan, saying, 4 “Go and tell My servant David, ‘Thus says JEHOVAH, “You will not build Me a house to dwell in. 5 For I have not dwelt in a house since the time that I brought up Israel, even to this day, but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another. 6 Wherever I moved about with Israel, have I ever spoken a word to the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’ 7 “Now therefore, thus will you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says JEHOVAH of hosts, “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel. 8 I have been with you wherever you went, and cut off your enemies from before you, and made you a name like the name of the great men on the earth. 9 Moreover, I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor will the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, 10 since the time I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. Also, I will subdue your enemies. Furthermore, I tell you JEHOVAH will build you a house. 11 It will be, when you fulfill your days, when you must go to your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He will build Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his Father, and he will be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him who was before you. 14 I will establish him in My house and in My kingdom forever; and I will establish his throne forever.”’” 15 According to these words and according to this vision, Nathan spoke to David. 16 Then King David went in and sat before JEHOVAH; and he said, “Who am I, O JEHOVAH Elohiym? What is my house, that You brought me this far? 17 Yet this was a small thing in Your sight, O Elohiym; and You have also spoken of Your servant’s house for a great while to come and regarded me according to the rank of a man of high degree, O JEHOVAH Elohiym. 18 What more can David say to You for the honor of Your servant? For You know Your servant. 19 O JEHOVAH, for Your servant’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You did this greatness, in making known these great things. 20 O JEHOVAH, there is none like You, nor is there any Elohiym besides You, according to everything we heard with our ears. 21 Who is like Your people Israel, the one nation on the earth whom Elohiym went to redeem for Himself as a people-to make for Yourself a name by great and awesome deeds, by driving out nations from before Your people whom You redeemed from Egypt? 22 For You have made Your people Israel Your people forever; and You, JEHOVAH, have become their Elohiym. 23 Now, O JEHOVAH, the word which You spoke concerning Your servant and concerning his house, let it be established forever, and do as You said. 24 Thus, let it be established, that Your name may be magnified forever, saying, ‘JEHOVAH of hosts, the Elohiym of Israel, is Israel’s Elohiym.’ Establish the house of Your servant David before You. 25 For You, O my Elohiym, revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house. Therefore, Your servant found it in his heart to pray before You. 26 Now, JEHOVAH, You are Elohiym and have promised this goodness to Your servant. 27 Now You have been pleased to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You blessed it, O JEHOVAH, and it will be blessed forever.” God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Supreme God Yeshuwa – Jesus Theos – Supreme Divinity Pantokrator – Omnipotent, Sovereign, Almighty Faithful and True Logos – The Word BASILEUS – Foundation of power, Sovereign, KING KURIOS – Supreme Authority, LORD Pneuma – Mighty wind, Breath, Spirit God’s character: Gracious Holy Sovereign Redeemer What do you do when you make plans to build something spectacular to honor people who did wonderful things. However, they give the honor to someone else, and tell you that you will have an even greater honor because of the plans you made? David wanted to build a house for JEHOVAH. However, JEHOVAH told him no. Instead, his heir would build the house, and JEHOVAH would bless David’s lineage by keeping a son on the throne forever. David responded by giving praise and thanks to Elohiym for the honor He gave him. When you look at Judah’s timeline, Zedekiah was the last king of Judah in direct lineage to David. The next King of Israel will be Yeshuwa when He returns to reign as BASILEUS of Kings and KURIOS of Lords after the Tribulation. Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Logos of Theos. 14 The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Out of His mouth went a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Pantokrator Theos. 16 He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: BASILEUS OF BASILEUS AND KURIOS OF KURIOS’. JEHOVAH’S honor to David extended to Yeshuwa’s rule. Elohiym could give David no greater honor. He felt humbled by the honor JEHOVAH bestowed on him. When you look at the great cathedrals throughout the world, you can see the honor given to Elohiym. Yet, how many of those cathedrals were built not only to honor Elohiym, but also to honor the person who built it? Consider the cathedrals man built are only wood and stone. They are empty tombs, beautiful empty tombs. However, they aren’t the church, the true tabernacle of Yeshuwa. You are if you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of Theos and that the Pneuma of Theos dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of Theos, Theos will destroy him. For the temple of Theos is holy, which temple you are. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from Theos, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. You are the church. Yeshuwa lives in you. When you enter the empty building to worship Yeshuwa on Sunday or whenever you meet, you bring the church with you. Only the church can worship and praise Theos. An empty building cannot praise Him. It can only honor Him. Today, bring the church to the building and bring your praise and worship to Theos because He truly is BASILEUS of Basileus’ and KURIOS of Kurios. No other elohiym is worthy of His honor. Let’s pray: Father, let my praise come before You as I enter the building to worship you as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords. Let me know the honor You give me as Your child and worship You every day, not only on the designated day of worship. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. That is the character of David that I hope I will have. A Yes No to God is a Yes and No to David. David always follow God and never complain, specially when he was being disciplined by his wrong action. When God told him no, and it is his son, solomon, will do the building of the temple,; David just simply comply and what he did, he made sure to ready everything the things that Solomon will need in the future, and even ask people to support his son. Thank you for sharing.
