Our neighbors to the North and South are helping us battle the wildfires in California.
My friends in Santa Barbara, 100 miles Northwest of Los Angles, are safe.
One friend in LA has lost his house. I am awaiting news from the others.
It is sunny and calm here in Northern California. I think I'll be heading off to a music practice later this morning.
How are things in your neck of the woods?
Photo is of a wildfire we had up here several years ago. I was poised and ready to evacuate the horses at the stable. But the winds shifted and the fire was put out.

If we don't help our neighbors in need, who will help us when our need comes up?
Hope the winds shift and blow out the remaining fires.

@TheHorse I'm pretty sure Biden will, not so sure about Rump.

I am sorry for the loss of property and buildings to everyone and to your friends.
I cannot imagine any country battling something so intense and devastating all on their own.
It is big of Mexico to step in to assist especially given the many insults the future president has made over the years.
Kudos to them for being above that nonsense.
I hope that your area does not know this devastation, stay safe.

My friend Marie, somewhere in the hills, is up at their place in Big Bear. There LA house is under an evacuation "advisory," or something like that, but they were not "told" to leave their house. How close have the fires come to you?

@TheHorse Ah, she may have been in the evacuation warning zone . . . not mandatory but it would best to be ready for it (or leave early just in case). Good that she had a place to go . . . many folks are having HUGE problems with that.
The fires didn't come close to us as we are in the middle of a big Valley . . . but at one point a flank of the Palisades fire came near the hills of Encino. Still "far enough" but too close for comfort. I have friends closer that way . . . if THEY had to evacuate, we would have seriously had to start rethinking things.

Bravo for them! I know they are welcomed there where the danger is, and nearly everyone in America appreciates their assistance.
