Can we really ever be at oneness too even with an apple

An old Zen master was talking to a local Priest about the concept of oneness. The Zen master knew that oneness was also advocated for by Christianity, as it was Jesus Christ himself who said that he, and his father, were one. The Zen master extended this oneness to include all of creation though, claiming that God's creation was created to be one with him, and that it is only sin, or evilness, that divides, and causes a distorted view for the evil doer, who thinks then that they are separate from God, and that they can go his, or her, own evil way, instead of their living by God's will, in their life, and so going in God's way, following his plan for their own particular life. The Priest agreed with this, saying that when we have the Holy Spirit in us, this part of God in us helps us to stay a part of God too, instead of us allowing evil to essentially cut us off from him in our minds, although, our soul, still retains its connection, via God's love to him still too. The Priest then said this about love: "The love going into the world depends, in part, on the amount of love entering it from you." Yes, the Zen master said: "When we love, we are always retaining then our oneness with God, and with all else too. God wants us to retain our oneness with him." The renowned spiritual, and political figure, Mahatma Gandhi, said: "I believe in the absolute oneness of God, and therefore of humanity." He thought that the oneness of God, both implied, and led to, the idea, that creation is all one with God. God is one with everyone even if you do not believe in him. He is there for you.

Yes, God is there for everyone, and we are a part of his creation, whether we accept this to be true, or not.

Everything, both seen and unseen, has a purpose. Our creator has given us inborn talents; we can do his bidding when we have an uninterrupted connection with him. We are mired in problems when we do not connect with his love - instead, we spread hatred when we think diversity is reason enough to go at each other's throats. In our daily lives, we erase God, even those who act like they are religious. Their actions belie what they profess.

God can be found in each and every part of his creation, and, so yes, everything has its purpose for being. We can see God in all, if we look for him there. God formed everything for a purpose, and put himself into it, so each part of creation has his divine presence in it, giving it the spark of real existence too. Nothing exists without God's love sustaining it in its existence. Yes, we need to connect to God, and to his love, to live a complete life, and to not just live from ourselves, by cutting off the part of ourselves, that is connected to God.

@Shiva49 I guess they do not see the significance of those old teachings in a modern world, where they want what they say, and think, to rule, and dominate, other's thinking here too. They want their own ways to be the ways for everyone else too. It boils down to greed, and selfishness, in their thinking.

@innertalks The writing is on the wall and in the Ten Commandments. Other beliefs also point out the way to live in peace. Maybe our big leaders are too blind to see them Rather they choose to ignore them. They don't suffer but the rest bears the consequences of their actions. Maybe God has his reasons for reacting when he chooses to.
