Relaxing Before The Week Gets Busy

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's a nice sunny morning even though it's cold. Somehow the sun always makes it seem warmer than it is.
I've been up for awhile, showered, dressed and started the laundry. Now I'm ready to sit down and enjoy my second cup of coffee.
I'm going to enjoy a quiet day today because the rest of the week is going to be a bit chaotic.
Tomorrow the dog groomer is coming but she made the appointment for the afternoon instead of our usual mid-morning. That just puts a gink in my day and will take up a good portion of the afternoon. Since the dog hasn't been groomed since the beginning of December, she's in dire need of a bath, cut and her nails cut.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday my son and grandson are coming to rip up the carpet on the stairs and hallway (upstairs). Then they are going to paint so another few days of busy.
Originally, I wanted to put down hardwood floors in place of the carpet that is going to be discarded but it just seems like it's going to be a way bigger and more expensive job than just replacing the carpet.
Since the rest of the week is going to be busy I'm having my groceries delivered this afternoon. Added drinks, snacks and stuff for lunches so I'm not floundering to offer my son and grandson something to eat or drink while they're painting.

Sounds like you have a busy week.
I am busy shopping for gifts for Chinese New Year. Weather is cold these days. Have to turn on my small portable heater almost all the time.

It is probably better that she booked the appointment for the afternoon, as she is usually late and has you waiting.
The update on the stairs and hall sounds exciting.
Have you considered doing both?
You could have them paint out the stairs and hallway floor and put a runner on the stairs and up the center of the hallway, that is impressive looking. My daughter-in-law did that in a home that they lived in. It really cut down on the noise that wood floors in a hallway and stairs can cause.

@Marilynda1225 I like carpet on the sides of the stairs and then just flooring on the actual steps so that I don't slip.

I was actually thinking of that and still might once they pull up the carpet. If it looks okay it's definitely worth thinking about. I hate the idea of another carpet but putting down new floors and a runner up the stairs was a bit expensive. Guess we'll see

Our dogs got their grooming done by us We used to bathe them regularly but no clipping nails.

You certainly will be busy. Today I have a cupping/massage appointment, and then I think I have to go back to the post office although I went yesterday too. After that, a friend is coming over to help me out with a few things. I’ll be glad to see her. I also have to make a phone call, but yesterday I was on hold for literally 30 minutes before I was unceremoniously hung up on. Hopefully, that phone call will be completed today.

It’s too bad you have to settle for carpet when you like the hardwood more but I do agree carpet is probably a lot easier.
When my husband gets home from work I have to drop my car off overnight at the garage. The service esc, service traction light keeps coming up the dash when I come to the first stop of the day. I asked my husband if it could perhaps need break fluid and he said it might but then never checked it or anything and I mentioned having to call the garage about it. It’ll be in better care at the garage then him doing anything to it anyway .

It sounds like a very busy week ahead.
My week isn't as busy. I only have books to work on, notifications to catch up on, and getting my exercise so I can lose weight. It's extra hard right now because people seemed to think I needed chocolate during the holidays. I got a lot of chocolate gifts.

Sounds like some busy and chaotic days ahead for you. It's a nice decision that you want to keep it skow today.
It's 11PM Tuesday night here. Tomorrow is the last day of my five days long weekend. I would like to get a few things done tomorrow.
