14 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from cold Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. According to my computer it's 13 F. My phone says 14 F and feels like 3 F. At least the windchill isn't below 0 F. Either way you look at it, it's cold outside. The good news is there's a snowflake on tomorrow's forecast. That means it's going to warm up a little tomorrow.
It's been a good day. No days are perfect, but there's always something to be thankful for, even if it isn't the weather.
I'm thankful for heat. I love a comfortably warm apartment, especially when temperatures are as cold as they are outside.
I'm thankful for a wonderful apartment and great neighbors. The people here are awesome! I told a neighbor a few doors down from me that I'm not moving. She was happy to hear it.
I'm thankful for the steps I got this morning. I'm not working out on the foot cycle for right now. I'm testing a theory. Whenever I work out on the foot cycle, I have a hard time moving in the middle of the night if I need to get up. I didn't have that trouble this morning. We'll see how tonight goes. I have all my steps on the pedometer app, Google Fit, and over 10 K on the Fitbit. I'm doing good.
I'm thankful I got the notifications finished on WordPress and here. It's always great to see what's going on in your world. I'm glad some of you aren't as cold as it is here. I'm sorry the cold has affected others of you not used to the temps you're seeing.
Okay, that's my day. I didn't work on a book, but I did spend time with my neighbor watching television together. I'm so thankful for wonderful friends and neighbors, they make everything worthwhile.

I’m always glad for my friends here at Mylot, including you. I’m thankful for the appointment I had today with the cupping/massage lady. I can’t believe how much she has helped me. I’m also thankful my best friend came over tonight to help me with some things I needed done.

That is very cold, definitely. Glad you have those things to be thankful for and that you had a good day.
I got a negative test today, so wasn't such a good day. Waiting to see what happens though...

@just4him Used to it, all I have seen for 6 or 7 months now. Just hoping I am not too old, etc... I know many have kids into their 40s so I should still have time...but I don't know...

I am grateful for the day was largely peaceful at work though there are things lined up for me to complete. I am grateful for the second chances at few minor and major things I received today. Need to work on the organizing things. Perhaps the stress has caused me to deviate me fromt he usual path of not doing things on time and proactively. Need to work on that on urgent basis. I am grateful for the support I am receiving through mylot and various ways to keep me going and looking to conquer my challenges. Well, good to see your day was good .Some relaxation time with friends and neighbours are all good. Enjoy the time!

@just4him You're right. Despite my persona around here, I am a pretty happy, light-hearted person. I think I have said before that some of what I do here is part of my schtick. We all have a "brand," and I am no exception.
SOME people pick up on that. Others take it to heart.
