The students keep taking my plants!

A friend gave me what she called a "friendship" plant back in the spring. It is a Chinese money plant. It is called a "Friendship" plant because it creates babies (pups) that you can then separate and plant to create more plants. Well the thing has been going crazy in my bedroom. I've separated about a dozen pups so far. I've given some to friends and I also have brought some into my classroom. Somehow a student started asking me about them so I was showing him the pups. He asked if I could bring one in for him and then another student chimed in that she wanted one too. Fine. Done. Well 2 other boys in the class asked if they could have a plant today. I told them to just take the 2 pots that I had over by the window. I have plenty of others here at the apartment. That was 7th period. At the end of 8th period one of the boys who took a plant showed up with a boy from my 1st period. He wanted a plant too. I had just 1 left to pass along. Someone else asked if they could have one. I told them I'd bring some more in tomorrow. I have no problem with giving them to the kids. Frankly I don't have anywhere else to put them here at the apartment. I just find it amusing that 4 of the 5 students who wanted the plants were boys. I didn't see that one coming.
