Day 364 – Chosen
1 Chronicles 22:1 Then David said, “This is the house of JEHOVAH Elohiym, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
2 Then David commanded to gather the aliens who were in the land of Israel; and he appointed masons to cut hewn stones to build the house of Elohiym.
3 David prepared iron in abundance for the nails of the doors of the gates and for the joints, and bronze in abundance beyond measure, 4 and cedar trees in abundance; for the Sidonians and those from Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
5 David said, “Solomon, my son, is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for JEHOVAH must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout every country. I will now prepare for it.” Thus, David made abundant preparations before his death.
6 Then he called for his son Solomon and charged him to build a house for JEHOVAH Elohiym of Israel. 7 David said to Solomon, “My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house to the name of JEHOVAH my Elohiym; 8 but the word of JEHOVAH came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you will not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight. 9 Behold, a son will be born to you, who will be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from his enemies everywhere. His name will be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. 10 He will build a house for My name, and he will be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’ 11 Now, my son, may JEHOVAH be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of JEHOVAH your Elohiym, as He has said to you. 12 Only may JEHOVAH give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 13 Then you will prosper, if you take care to fulfill the statutes and judgments with which JEHOVAH charged Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and of good courage; do not fear nor be dismayed. 14 Indeed, I took much trouble to prepare for the house of JEHOVAH one hundred thousand talents of gold and one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond measure, for it is so abundant. I prepared timber and stone also, and you may add to them. 15 Moreover, there are workmen with you in abundance: woodsmen and stonecutters, and many types of skillful men for every kind of work. 16 Of gold, silver, bronze, and iron there is no limit. Arise and begin working, and JEHOVAH be with you.”
17 David also commanded the leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, 18 “Is not JEHOVAH your Elohiym with you? Has He not given you rest on every side? For He gave the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before JEHOVAH and before His people. 19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek JEHOVAH your Elohiym. Therefore, arise and build the sanctuary of JEHOVAH Elohiym, to bring the ark of the covenant of JEHOVAH and the holy articles of Elohiym into the house to be built for the name of JEHOVAH.”

Before people set out to do a monumental task, whether building a large building, or planning an extensive trip, they plan and prepare everything they will need. Especially if it will take time to complete.
David wanted to build the temple to JEHOVAH. However, JEHOVAH told David his son, Solomon, would build the temple. David prepared everything needed to build the temple: the tools, stone, timber, iron, and precious metals. Then he charged Solomon with the task and told him why he didn’t build it.
Elohiym didn’t start preparing you as His temple when you accepted Him as Savior and Lord. He started preparations at the same time He created the earth.
Yeshuwa taught a parable to the people about the preparations He made for you.
Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 He will gather the nations before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Pater, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Kurios, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
First, you see He prepared the kingdom for you.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the Theos and Pater of our Kurios Iesous Christos, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christos, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Iesous Christos to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.
He chose you before the foundation of the world and predestined you as His adopted son. Everything you are is because He chose you before He created the world. He prepared you so that when you accepted Him as Savior and Lord, everything would be ready for Him to take up residence in you as His temple.
David prepared everything for the temple so that Solomon wouldn’t need to do anything more than build it. JEHOVAH prepared you so that all you need to do is accept Him and His Son, Yeshuwa. You are His building, prepared before the foundation of the world.
What is your life like? Do you honor Yeshuwa with your life or is your temple full of cobwebs and dust because you don’t open Yeshuwa’s Word, spend time with Him, or seek His face? People see how you live your life, whether you honor Yeshuwa with your entire being, or the words you speak, claiming Him as Savior and Lord, are only words.
JEHOVAH chose you from the beginning of the world. He separated you for His glory to bring honor and praise to Him in everything you do for Him. He gave you a purpose and everything you need to complete His work. It’s time to honor Him with the life He purposed for you.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for choosing me and giving me a purpose. Help me honor You in everything I do so that my temple does not remain empty and filled with cobwebs and dust. Let my temple be Your residence to honor and glorify You in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
