How many businesses still use fax machines? / myLot

I know some do accept faxes or they did about 5 years ago. I mean somebody that needs a hard copy with your signature or something probably use them. However, with the advent of digital signing online, I just don't think fax machines are used that much. I am still thinking of the swap event, and whether or not something like that would be worth it to take. I just don't think that would be something that too many people would be interested in especially since not many people even have a traditional phone line these days. I am wondering if I should just donate it? i did almost sell it once, but that sale fell through..

Hmm, When I worked in an office about 15 years ago faxes were used to obtain records, but again that was 15 years ago.

@snowy22315 when I hired someone we faxed it, faxed weekly documents pertaining to payroll, etc.

That is also one of my problem. We have one here, used in my SIL's business. But now it just sits here taking up space. I don't know what to do with it.

Actually there is still a fax machine in my office, but the truth is we haven't used it for quite a long time already. Today if I have to send the documents, usually I will use a scanning app from my phone and then send it by email.

I have no idea if fax machines are used as much these days as in the past. Probably not would be my guess.

Most major business still uses fax. I guess even medium and some small business do use them. I would say try selling it even though it could take time. It is also true with digital technology , the use of fax has reduced. You take a printout and sign it off and you could send the person the photo of the document via WhatsApp or email. However, certain business would like to keep the business documents intact and would make use fo fax. In short , there are companies who are still using fax. Donating is also a thig you could do in case the sale is not happening. Good luck!

Back when I first had it here and used a landline, i used it a time or two, but that was then and this is now. I have no use for it.
