Spider monkey on the loose was found on the streets of Jefferson County in Missouri

Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) answered a call from citizens about a spider monkey that was a pink tutu on the streets when the JCSO deputies found an eight pound spider monkey that belongs to a deputy of the JCSO in Friday January 3.
A deputy who was in the company of a K9 dog managed to catch the spider monkey who peacefully to the deputy who was waiting for about one hour when a woman who was babysitting the animal when she told the deputy that the spider monkey ran away from home.
The spider monkey was returned to his owner the same day safe and sound.

I wonder if they used a net to catch the spider monkey with, as I imagine it would be hard to recapture.

The monkey was very kind to the deputy who found him on the street since the monkey was likely homesick.
