Termites "Read" All My Books

I had a very good collection of the special editions of a very reputed Hindi magazine
All editions were exclusively on Hindu culture and Hindu philosophy..I would often read them.
On day I had to go to a long travel there.As I returned I did not find those books in my table.
I called my sister and asked here where the books were.
Laughingly she told me she had properly kept the books in a big wooden box.
Hurriedly I went to the room.and open the lock.
What I saw in the books; I was shocked.Thousands of termites were there in the box and they had destroyed every single book. Pieces of pages and covers were there...
I called my sister and her what she had done. She was shocked ; too.Not a single book was intact.
I can buy the books again; but they are costly now.

It happened due to the moisture in the wall near which the wooden box was kept.

That is quite sad. Problem is that if we have not used something in years, it could lead to such situations.
And perhaps you would not get many of those old books in circulation now.

Hmm.. Then may be they needed a better storage.
Yet we cannot be too sure.
May be you can get some of them as second hand.

No; I would read the books from time to time and now they all are in circulation. I'll buy then again; but now they are costlier.
I want to have them in my collection.

Thanks. Those books were purchased by my father years ago. My father asked me to read them. I read all of them one by one. And thereafter I read them several times. They were about our Hindu philosophy.
