The side hustle continues

The guidance secretaries at the other high schools know I'll take anything that I can do. I'm certified in biology but there is no specific certification for earth science, environmental science, anatomy & physiology, or forensic science so I can do any of those as well. Because I take it all on they always offer the homebounds to me first if the student's teacher declines (which they always do). Same with the class coverages. The secretary in charge of dealing with them used to hate me but over the years learned that I'm kind of a funny and good person after being on my FB for awhile. We bond over cooking and Outlander. I take them all--even the ones I would rather not like cafeteria duty or gym. I take even the stuff that is annoying to stay in her good graces. It was funny because this morning I was in the office during 1st period (I'm off) dealing with paperwork and she learned that some teacher had something going on. She told me to wait, called the teacher, and offered to get someone (me) to cover her 1st period class so she could go do whatever. The teacher refused after several attempts. She tried hard to get me a 2nd coverage today. It is good to stay on the good side of the secretaries! Seriously. The secretaries and custodians are having a rough time these days. I'm helping but also definitely profiting.
