Fireplaces Are Good For Drying Things

The podiatrist told me on Monday that I need to wear compression socks all the time now. I told him I wore them when on flights but he alluded to the fact that I was "of an age" where compression socks were necessary all the time now. So I ordered six pair of the prescribed compression amount (15-20 ) from Amazon and they arrived yesterday. I washed them out in cold water in the sink. The instructions said to not put them in the dryer. So I hung them up over the towel rack in the shower overnight and now I've got them finishing up drying in front of the fireplace. Do you wear compression socks? How do you like them?

I don't need them. My mom should wear them, but she doesn't.

I get edema in my lower left leg and foot, and was sent to a podiatrist to measure me for compression stockings. I only bought 3 pairs because they ran $150 each, but I find that I rarely wear them. They are not comfortable.

When it gets very cold I do have to wear socks for diabetic persons to avoid catching a head cold.
