Panic attacks are no joke

My dad fixed my closet yesterday. He offended me a few days ago without knowing how I felt. He judges everyone. I had my first panic attack after we were both angry. But today I had another one and it was so severe that I almost called an ambulance. It lasted more than one hour. Usually, my panic attacks last for 10 minutes and they disappear. Today it was different. Fortunately, my mom was home. I took medication, I used ice and nothing worked. I felt like I was dreaming and this scared me. My mind was dark and unclear even if my thoughts weren't negative. I knew I wasn't going to die. I knew that it was temporary. My hands were very pale, I had physical symptoms for more than an hour with short breaks. I shouldn't care about my dad at all because he affects me too much. He drinks every day and he lies to everyone saying that he doesn't drink. He can't be helped. He loses balance when he walks. I think he might be a narcissist. This would explain his behavior. Did you have panic attacks that were so intense?

I cannot explain to you how my anxiety worked on me but I can say that it did take me a year to get back to normal If I was alone I sat and all I could eat and drink was Coke and a chocolate donut, I watched TV and my hands and feet were like ice and my body only relaxed when someone was home with me, Mostly my mom saved me she brewed valerian root tea and even though it tasted bad I drank it by the cupful and after drinking a cup I could feel my body getting less tense and I would just fall asleep, That is what my body needed total relaxation,

I did have a panic attack about three months ago when my lower right was swollen and infected to the point when I could hardly walk with the use of a cane until I was given medicines to relieve my illness.

As long as you know that you won't die. You're good. And, I'm glad your dad did fix your closet. It means that's he's aware, but due to addiction can't stop.

Yes, I have them, and more than once I’ve ended up in the emergency room. They aren’t fun, and they are certainly nothing to make light of.
