San Francisco 49ers football player Ricky Pearsall who was the victim of a criminal act when a teenager who met the rookie wide receiver before the start of the National Football League regular season in 2024 when Ricky was shot in the chest by the teenager for Ricky's refusal to give up his watch as he was walking in the streets of San Francisco to attend an autograph session.
The teenager who is accused of shooting Ricky has been charged by the authorities for several crimes which included attempted murder, robbery and assault with a weapon.
I do not mean to second guess Ricky in this manner since my former employer said something to the effect that no one should play hero when a person asks you for an item even it is not their property since material items can be replaced but a human life.
Ricky is hoping to have a chat with the 17 year old male teen so he can forgive him and hope that the teenager does not commit the same crime again which I understand to pardon your enemies to get God's blessings.
Ricky has met with the first responders who assisted him in his time of need. Will he be able to talk to the teenager is not known.

@rakski I am in agreement with you that the teen is in jail or juvenile detention for trying to kill a football player or any other person.

I am in agreement with you since the teenager would not like it if the roles were reversed.

Ricky needs to be compensated for that crime, which must be punished to the full extent of the law, and the law changed, if necessary, for this teenager to be jailed, for a very long time. The victim might forgive, but the crime must be punished for its doing.

That is true since the teenager needs to know that actions have consequences.

I also hope that if Ricky meets with the teen who shot him changes his views of life in a better way from now on.
