Grammarly is a handy tool that helps you write better by checking grammar, spelling, and punctuation as you type. It suggests making your writing more precise and more to the point, even helping with the tone. You can use it anywhere – in your browser, Word, or even your phone. This is a free version. I have a premium version that I need to correct my work. The premium version has extra features like checking for plagiarism and improving word choice. Whether it’s an email, a report, or a social media post, Grammarly ensures your writing looks polished and professional. I have the Grammarly extension installed in Chrome browser that immediately points out mistakes while writing. It is a good tool to help us improve our language skills. For those who are not fluent in English, do you check your grammar or spelling mistakes before posting anything online?

I do my own checking but I know Grammarly has a good reputation for editing writing.

I use Grammarly. It wants you to use the shortest method possible to say something. It does not like conversational tones of writing. It wants you to write it like it is a master's thesis or something.

I used to make use of Grammarly for my writing for almos 8 years until chatgpt arrived. I used to login and write initially and later when they introduced the browser extension , used it as well. It was very helpful. I do agree it did help in improving our command on the English grammar. With Chatgpt , things are much more easier , you just give a command and to check everything and it gives you everything in seconds. You need not read through nor look to correct. Just that the answer from chatgpt and just paste wherever needed. Well, AI is definitely a game changer in that aspect!

You need to be careful. AI tries to make comments as short as possible. Sometimes they change words around and alter the meanings of your sentences. Also, they make things up.

@akalinus that is true but so far I have been ok with the rewrites provided by chatgpt. I do read things just to see if something can be altered. Thanks

I write quite a few articles and blogs during the day, so having an app to cross-check works for me.
