Good day to you all. So, the cold came, and it should start to warm back up tomorrow. Today and yesterday were quite cold but I survived. I think the low hit -23F (-30C) last night not including the wind chill which made it feel a lot colder. Getting up and heading out the door at 4am made for quiet the wake up.
Thankfully I do not work outside all day though I put in a few hours doing deliveries but at least with that I am only out in the cold for a few minutes and then back into the car. I remember the days of being outside all day for work and I do not miss it on days like we just had.
Hope you all are surviving the weather; I know a lot of the states have had cold and snow. I did check up on mom and other family members to make sure they are all doing well. Take care of yourself and each other in these times.

With the temps and wind chill, I haven't ventured outside... My daughter is pressing me to take her grocery shopping but we have plenty of food. I'm not going out just to buy more snacks we don't actually need.

@Bensen32 My area is supposed to reach 40F today, so we'll go pick up meds and grocery shop while it's warmer.

@DaddyEvil those are nice temps. beats the 19F we got to today and still very windy so felt a lot colder.

It's been a winter to remember 4-sure, thank god we got the cabin
sealed up where it stays pretty toasty in here to say the lest.

Glad to know you are able to do ok in this weather. The weather where I live is also cold though not as cold what you are experiencing. Currently it is around 19C and at times move upto 22 C. I hope these conditions reain for some more time as come April we normally have summer. We had a long and bad summer last time. There was water and power challenges during the time. Hope that would not be the case this time. Well, not spending outside more in the temperature you have mentioned is a blessing. Well, hopefully things will be better in coming days. Take care!
