This mug situation is absurd

I have maybe 10 or 12 mugs here and only a couple of them match. Worse, I keep using clean ones, and end up having to wash several. I am really tempted to just buy a nice set of 4 or 6..OK 6 in case I need spares and just donating these other mugs. There is no reason to be constantly using and washing mugs it just makes work that doesn't need to be done, and using environmental resources. That's enough with the mugs already. Sometime in the next few weeks I will go mug shopping, and when I get them I will donate.

The one mug I actually cared about having was my mother’s, and it unfortunately broke. I guess my hand was shaky, and it shattered when it hit the floor. I hope you pick some pretty mugs! The photo has something I can include in your next package if you want it. They ARE good, but they sent me like 6 six packs, and me, and my nieces can only eat so many.

@snowy22315 Yes, 100 calories. I like the boba, but I think I just had too much of it. Should be sending everything tomorrow.

Yes, I will take one or two. They only have like 90 calories right? I wouldn't want them if they had more. I buy them sometimes at that grocery outlet place .They have a lot of them marked way down in price.

I have three cupboards of mugs. They're all my favorite, though I only use about two or three of them all the time.

@snowy22315 I have several Christmas mugs, so they're only used then. My new favorite is one I bought last year with my first initial on it. It's also an oversized mug.

I gave away most of my mugs last year and I now only have 6 different ones, the ones I like best. And if someone comes for an elegant tea times, I can wash my fine china and use it. Nobody loves them but only one person dared tell me that those cups were smaller than thimbles.

I do the same thing if I have company. Coffee drinkers really don't complain about a mug but the tea drinkers seem to like the china cups better.

@Marilynda1225 China cups are thinner and more beautiful. But too small for my taste.

I only have 3 mugs for each of us. None of them match, by choice. I always run the dishwasher every other day, which means there is always 1 mug for each of us left in the cupboard.

I run mine on average every other day too, but if I had fewer mugs I wouldn't need to run it that much.

@snowy22315 Ours is always full after 2 days, everything from glasses, cups, dinner plates and smaller plates, plus the cutlery.

We often end up with ten or so dirty mugs at the end of the day. I donated a lot when we moved. I have a nice set of four that I bring out if we have guests but most of the rest are a mixed bunch.

@snowy22315 Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea. - so that's 8 and I don't always wash up every day.

At one time we had a non-intended collection of mugs. We couldn't keep keeping them all - many were not ever in use. We saved 1 each - our favorites, but the rest we donated. And we finally got that matching "set" - for guests or whatever.

I have too many mugs too and none of them match. Most I've gotten as gifts since everyone knows how much I love coffee. I hate to part with any of them because most of them have some sort of sentimental attachment. Mine just go in the dishwasher afterwards so there's really no washing involved. Fitting them in the cabinet is really the challenge. Hope you find some new mugs you really like.

Mine go in the dishwasher too..but half the thing seems filled with mugs. I have space. I just don't need all these. I wouldn't have to run the DW so often, if I would limit the mugs.
