When faced with lot of tasks, do you find yourself procrastinating?

These days I have heavy work load and lots of items to do. The sheer volume of things to do , sometimes make me wonder where to start .This often causes delay in starting items as I need to prioritize things. Sometimes I avoid some of the items in my to do list and well avoiding them for some time gives a temporary relief.
Sometimes I feel paralysed by the number of things and deadlines. All of these then tend to end up with procrastination. However, now without much thinking I make a point to do at least 3 things from the list and close them and feel a little better.
So, do you find yourself procrastinating when there are multitude of tasks?

It's not the number of tasks for me, it's more a case of having tasks to do I don't really want to do. Those I tend to put off.

@akalinus Who hasn't? I hate laundry sometimes, but it's fairly easy since the washer and dryer do the work.

@kaylachan You just reminded me that my laundry is waiting to be washed and I don't want to do it.

Yes - that's me . I have especially felt this way in the past few months. But now I'm trying to take on the thinking that if I do take action right away, it could mean less stress down the road. The trick is taking action right away .

@RevivedWarrior One at a time is good, but sometimes all of it needs to be done (my husband will tell me this . . . he says it is impossible to finish one at a time when it is all due NOW).

I do some of the thinsg right away but sometimes I feel I am overwhelmed with increasing tasks. Perhaps one at a time would be a good approach.

Knowing you will have to close it yourself , will give motivation to work on things (even if it means to be slow ).

Thats a good strategy. Among the list , do the easiest instead of waiting for long. I will definitely consider that.

I prefer to just get it done and get it out of the way. I get stressed when I let things I know I have to do pile up. Delaying doesn't help me. Even if I don't feel like doing it today. I'm still not going to feel like doing it tomorrow either. So, I just do it and get it done.

Yes, there are days I need to go in full gear.I can travel in full gear for just some time. Perhaps I need to rework on the plans

That has been the case for a weeks. Now , I am targetting atleast 3 things on a day bare minimum , atleast that is helping to decrease the to-do list.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just want to laugh and cry when I don't know how to stop myself from procrastinating. Well, the only time that I find myself procrastinating is when I really don't know what to do or where to start, but if I find my way on starting it, I am able to focus, but I have lost a lot of time.

I was about to suggest you pick out three things and just do those to start with but you already do that it seems.
