Get a Load of This New Trump Idea / myLot

I love the Golden Age of Hollywood. The glitz, the glamour. The movies made between 1935 and 1959 are ones I like best. They showed traditional values, were realistic of the time, and were entertaining without being overly sexual or crude. That being said-- Trump has named Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, and Sylvester Stallone as his "special envoys"(diplomats)for Hollywood on Truth Social. (It seems that this appointment came as a surprise to at least one of these people). Trump characterized this group as his "eyes and ears" because he felt that Hollywood has some issues and needed rejuvenation. He feels that the industry has lost a lot of business over the last four years and he wants to see a return to "The Golden Age of Hollywood". Does this sound as weird to you as it does to me? There will never be a return to the Golden Age, Many of those who remember have passed on, the younger generation does not care and that leaves me and I am but one person along with you and perhaps a handful of others, Ain't gonna happen. Gotta watch all my old videos to return there,

Rather sad but true. I find a lot of docs and such about the old stars and enjoy them YT.

I don't think we'll ever see a new golden age, but I do know Hollwood was an industry that struggled during COvid. And, honestly they're struggling. We're in an endless loop of reboots and reimaginings of already existing stories. While I don't think thease people could possibly accomplish the mission Trump has assigned, I don't fault the man for trying.

Yes, it has been struggling since COVID and it is good that he sees this as a serious endeavor. I think what is going on in Hollywood is a sign of the times we are in.
