I attended one of friend's birthday. He lives in a village around 12 kms from our town. When we were talking after taking our dinner last night; he told me about his uncle who works in a remote village. Recently his uncle had been to a town by his bicycle. In the evening he was returning to his village. That way passes through a jungle. After sundown he reached the jungle. It was getting dark. In pitch darkness his bicycle collided with something and his uncle fell down with his bicycle. He quickly got up and then what he saw was horrifying. He found he had collided with a wild elephant who was standing under a tree. The black elephant standing in pitch darkness was completely invisible to human eyes. His uncle did not lose a second and ran away helter skelter leaving his bicycle being. The angry elephant chased him; but somehow the man managed to save himself. The next day he went to the sane place with some villagers. They found his bicycle lying in a bush completely distorted and destroyed.

Oh my God! That was a narrow escape. Glad that he is safe. Seems like the elephant took out all his anger on the bicycle. My heart skipped a beat reading this.

Yes; the beast completely destroyed the bicycle. He perhaps thought the bicycle was his enemy. However I.was happy to know the poor man saved himself. All this is told to me by my friend.

@Shivram59 Yes. Bike is a property loss and can be replaced, not a human life. Luck favoured him.

@arunima25 His life was saved. As my friend told me; just when he saw the beast; he ran away as fast as he could before the elephant could see him. This saved him. The workers who come to our town from villages leave for their homes before sunset.

Woah!!!! That's too closed. I thought Elephants are harmless. But I think they are not base on what you wrote.
