It's So Cold Even The Dog Doesn't Want To Go Out

Happy Wednesday Everyone! another day of frigid temperatures but at least the sun is shining. My daughter takes the dog out every morning before she starts work. Yesterday and today the poor dog did her business in record time. Even she didn't want to be outside. Since I have no desire to step outside, it's a good day to get stuff done inside. Let me preface this by saying my desk is in the corner of the living room. Probably not the best place for it but since i spend the majority of my time in the living room it just makes sense to have it here. I have a pile of stuff that needs shredding as well as organizing all the stuff that has landed on my desk. Somehow my desk is the catch-all for all sorts of things in addition to the bills, etc. I still have a stack of Christmas cards that I received sitting there and keep forgetting to bring them upstairs and put them in my keepsake box. My desk is the one thing I can't keep organized. No matter how many times I tidy the drawers and the desktop it doesn't last long. Probably the only time my desk looks presentable is when we're expecting company. That's when I shove everything on the top into the drawers and then make a mess. Aside from that project today I'll definitely read some of my book. I had to put it aside when all the work was going on here last week but I intend to put my feet up and read sometime this afternoon. I haven't gotten very far into the book and hopefully I can get into the nitty gritty of the plot today. It's a murder mystery and has great potential. That pretty much sums up my less than exciting day What's going on in your little corner of the myLot world?
