How MyLot will help me make $2.20 today alone!

I just went to the grocery store to get my ritual wine, coffee, and frozen food. One of my favorite items was on sale for $2.00 off IFF I scanned the so-and-so code. I don't do so-and-so codes, but the gal at the check-out was friendly (as always), and I asked her if she "had the ad and could get me the discount." She had the flyer up there, scanned the code, and saved me two dollars. Add my MyLot earnings for today and I could wind up $2.10 in the black. So why did I say $2.20 in my title? She didn't charge me for my plastic bag! Being friendly has its economic benefits.

I generally bring my own bags (unless I forget). And you know I've gotta ask: What rituals do you do with frozen food?

I remove them (one at a time) from my freezer. I say a brief prayer of thanks to the Frozen Food Gods. I (usually) cut the to film for ventilation. I place them in the oven earlier than I am supposed to. Sometime I add onions or other goodies. Nothing too bizarre. And when that happens, I only talk about it on @Xander6464's after hours channel. I try to have good boundaries.

@BarBaraPrz Wheee! Have you seen Dr. Strangelove? I just posted an hilarious scene from my favorite movie.

I make such savings once in a while. Today I made over $1.20 although there weren´t any surveys for me. I only had ice cream for one person so I gave it to Martín and had no dessert. I am also saving on bags a lot lately as I finally placed in my automatic pilot the idea that I had to take with me a fabric bag everywhere. I end up feeling very happy as if I had ended up the problems of climate change in the world.

@TheHorse Aren´t we awesome? I recycle the paper napkins and use them to make a first clean up to the kitchen sink. In fact I recycle a lot of plastic containers that the supermarket uses to send pickles and olives. I wish that was forbidden.

@TheHorse My husband needs to gas up today. I hope our gas hasn’t gone up. We’ll see.

@Tampa_girl7 I'll probably wait until I am in the Barrio again. I still have a quarter tank.

That's a nice savings. We aren't charged for our bags here. Yet. One of the pluses of living in a backward state.

@kaylachan I find that most people are kind if you give them a chance to be.

I like to try to use a cloth tote when I can remember. I keep some in my trunk. You can still be friendly, of course!
