Getting Glasses

Yesterday I went to the eye doctor for the first time in about 30 years and well I need glasses. I knew for a few years that my eyes were getting worse, and I guess I was in denial. I never wore glasses even though everyone in my family has for most of their lives. I didn’t know glasses cost so much; good thing is the insurance is picking up a big chunk of it. This if not something I was planning to pay for, but I guess I should have known it was coming. It’s going to be weird to wear glasses all the time. I mean I always wear sunglasses. Well not at night but even on a cloudy day I wear them a lot. I just don’t like the brightness. I guess I will get use to them after a while. Hope you are all doing well.

Well, I was also in that denial when I was pushed by my dad to go to an eye doctor. Well, we know when we cannot see things clear and especially when we sit in front of the TV or laptop for long time. Glasses do cost much. I used to have one for home which was less costly and one for outside . This helped to push the durability since you have to wear almost all the time. Years later , I took Lasik and well it was tough initially but then all fine. If you are using the laptop a lot , suggest anti-glare glasses for use.It helps to protect eyes better. Luckily you have the insurance and that helps a lot. Take care!

I started wearing glasses when I drive about 20 or so years ago. I don't mind not seeing everything and don't like wearing my glasses at home. (I'm nearsighted.) I wear sunglasses most of the time. My eyes are light sensitive. Bright lights/sunlight hurts. Good luck with your glasses.

I am recovering my last few days of cold weather due to a winter storm named Enzo coming the southern states of Texas that went to Florida with the sun shining to melt the snow on the roads in Lake Charles since Monday overnight.
