Two weeks straight now. I usually work at the office Tuesday and Thursday. I schedule that way so that I can at least take a rest from the commute. I left for work yesterday at 5AM. Arrived at 7AM to work. After work at 5PM, I went straight to the bus terminal via train. Then bus before 6PM. Got home at 9PM. And woke up 3:30AM (today) to prepare my meal and I packed my lunch. Today was a little late because of the car booking. I arrived in the office past 7AM. Shift starts at 8AM. It is tiring to commute 2 days straight. I am not able to go here and visit people because I am on the go for 2 days straight now. Hopefully I can catch up tomorrow.

oh, you used to rent a space before, right? Now you go back and forth to all the way to Pampanga? Everyday travel to and fro is not ideal

I rented a room near CCP across SM Sta Mesa but I gave up the space when I moved to Pampanga. I tried to hold it by paying monthly though I am not using it. But it only lasted for 5 months. I moved to Pampanga because we transitioned to wfh set up in March 2020. I rented a bedspace in Cubao back in Feb 2023 where my 2 fones and money got stolen by the co-tenant. And then went back wfh in July 2023. Then just recently when we were absorbed by the company in March 2024, the set up was changed to hybrid, 2 days work in the office, 3 days at home. So that's my weekly routine until now.

@rakski yes tiring. It is what it is. I cannot leave work because I love the company. Been supporting them for 9 years and will celebrate my 1st anniv as a direct employee. That's 10 years total.

So much travelling would certainly make you very tired.

yup, not complaining here. I like the job. It is tiring to commute now because most people are out and about.

That commute is a LONG one! The longest I ever had to go to work was about an hour drive from my house. I hated that but enjoyed the people and the work I did there. We'll talk with you whenever you get here and have time to visit with us.

It's always like this everytime I work in the office. I like the job and the company so the travelling is fine with me. Though that's 2 days per week. If only I can find a part time job that can help me pay the rent I will look a place near the office.
