So, I'm still getting a lot of those medicare calls, and the back taxes calls. I got one of those 'your accident in the last 2 years' yesterday.
But about once every couple of weeks I get: "This is A... calling from your TV services."
My response is always: "No you're not."
Most of the time the caller just hangs up.
But today I got one who asked: "Why do you say I'm not from your TV services?"
"Because I know for a fact, and my roommate works for them, that they will NEVER call.

Good grief! These scammers are relentless!
So, who did you be rude to today? I'm generally only rude to scammer just so ya know.

We've been getting back taxes calls recently on my husband's phone. And it's the same company and same voice with the same voicemail.

That is a computer. You try to talk to them and all they want is to send you on to a human conman. I got one of the real people who used to call and I informed him that I did not owe back taxes and if he thought so he'd have to talk to my CPA... my brother.

@kaylachan I get these "Hello" And then there is this static sounds and generally a male voice asking "Oh, there seems to be some noise on the line, can you hear me?" The answer is always "No." They want people to say 'Yes' and then they can use it for other stuff. A lot of the time when I say 'no' then the call ends.

@ElicBxn Yeah. And with AI, it doesn't sound like one, but I know it is because it sounds to polished and rehersed. I got what I think was a scam call but they hung up because the connection was bad. Oh well.

I guess they want to know if they can plug any holes from their scams by asking you that.
I had three scam callers yesterday, but I don’t know what scams they were running. My phone cuts off spam callers before the first ring is complete. I remember when the phone I had didn’t do that. I’d get a Social Security scam call about every two weeks.

Yeah... Viv might've strung them along. She did that with one of those computer repair scams. She was working so he could hear the keys being typed. Viv had a very hard touch and broke a few keyboards by hitting the keys so hard. I had someone wanting to talk to Connie. I said she wasn't here. When I was asked if this was the correct phone number, I told her no and they didn't put phone lines in the cemetery.

I don't think I was rude to anyone today. But scammers deserve it.

Lordy, the year I turned 65, those Medicare scam calls started. On January 2nd! My birthday wasn't until the end of November. We finally changed the phone number I had since I moved in back in 1984 to put a stop to them. After all, I wasn't the one answering the calls, it was Viv.
