Dry Shampoo

Do any of you use dry shampoo? I know “experts” say washing your hair once a week is ideal (with some exceptions, of course), but I imagine dry shampoo is a must for people who use a lot of product during the week or just for people with oily scalps. I don’t have a need for it, but I’ve used it before, years ago.

I know of just 1 person who has ever used dry shampoo.
I like to wet my hair, it feels fresher and it gets rid of the bedhead look.
My hair dresser told me that if I slept on a silk or satin pillowcase, then my hair wouldn't go flat like it does on a cotton pillowcase. But, do you think that I can find such a pillowcase, I may just buy a silk scarf and wrap that around my pillow.

@AmbiePam I should look for a bonnet too.
My hair dresser told a client that and one day she came in for a cut and she complimented her on how great her hair looked, and she smiled and said that she didn't do a thing to it but was sleeping on a satin/silk pillowcase.

I have never used it, but I agree that it is being widely pushed. I wash my hair about twice a week. Dermatologist indicated it should be more often, but twice a week is about as good as it gets. I cannot imagine how dry shampoo would feel.

I have used dry shampoo when I have had the flu in my younger days but did not like the results. Right now I usually wash my hair in the shower once a week but with this freezing weather I am letting at least a couple of weeks pass by, I certainly don't want to get a head cold with wet hair,

@RasmaSandra I wash my hair every night even the nights that were -10°. It won’t make you sick! I used to walk to school with wet hair and my hair would freeze.

I actually found that baby powder works just fine (and is SOOOOO much cheaper!!!) than dry shampoo (which is just aerosolized powder). I just shake some out on my fingertips and zhuzh it near my roots. Not only does it absorb oil, it also adds body to my fine hair. I love it!

I have a bottle of dry shampoo, and your post aroused my curiosity. I've used it a few times for convenience but have since discovered that frequent use may clog the hair follicles leading to hair loss. I'd rather keep my hair for as long as possible, so I'll be tossing it in the garbage.
Glad I saw your post, lol.

I have never tried it. The idea of washing my hair without water does not sound thrilling.

I think I used that when I was a little kid in the hospital as I was too close to the surgery to have a regular shower and wash my hair. I guess it works.

I always wash my hair each morning. I wouldn’t dream of using that stuff

I've only used it a few times when I was in the hospital and they wouldn't let me take a shower, only those stupid sponge baths, which I hate. Yes, it works, but somehow it makes my hair feel funny, hard to explain but it seems very drying, and my hair is already dry enough, so that's probably why I don't really care for it.
