Deer who had a jar stuck on its head apparently had the jar taken off by itself

Illinois State Conservation Police, Cook County Animal Control, Chicago Animal Care and Control answered an emergency call from officials with the St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery about a deer who had a plastic jar stuck on its head on Friday January 10. What happened next could qualify for a mystery since by the time the authorities went to find the deer along with volunteers found that the deer did not have the plastic jar over its head since the jar was found by itself on Saturday morning which was good news for the rescuers. Maybe a stranger removed the plastic jar from the deer by a man or a woman who prefers to keep his or her good deed to their selves since I do not believe that a deer could remove a plastic jar by itself. We’ve got to control the littering. How often do we see a story like this with a dog, bear, or a raccoon.

I am in agreement with you that the litterbug causes animals to get their heads trapped inside of jars.

Or the deer may have finally been able to put his head in the right position.

Perhaps the deer managed to rub its head on a tree and get the jar off.

We could help him, but how would he learn to fend for himself? You can lead a deer to plastic but you can’t make it think.

It was good that some people had the deer's welfare at heart and a good outcome came to the deer somehow in the end.
