The Old Fashioned

I often try new drinks when I am socialising, particularly because I don’t do this all that often. One cocktail I came across is The Old Fashioned. The old fashioned is a cocktail made by mixing sugar with bitters and water, adding whiskey or sometimes brandy, and garnishing with an orange slice or zest and a cocktail cherry. It is traditionally served with ice in an old fashioned glass.
I found the drink to have a very distinct taste, but not something I believe I will acquire a liking to, and I will stick to my sweet tasting cocktails in the future. What are your favourite cocktails?

I had a gingerbread Old Fashioned over the holidays. It was quite tasty. I like a Moscow Mule, but most cocktails are delicious.

@snowy22315 I do like gingerbread flavoured drinks over the festive period. I think sometimes they are done too often though
