I had only five students today. But each was unique and each was fun. My teenage bass player was giddy and kept showing me silly music videos on her cell phone I eventually got her to play the bass line to a couple of them. Hah!
My temporary piano student is about eight and may not be my permanent student. I am not sure. But he kept saying "jazz" so I showed him how to play Mary Had a Little Lamb with jazz chords beneath the familiar tune. He "got it."
Kate, my pretty Russian-American 15-year-old guitar student, did well with me. We practiced some "jazz" tunes and also worked on two Jesse Winchester tunes. She is shy to sing, but I got her to sing with me on two of the Jesse Winchester tunes I have taught her.
I may treat myself to sushi tonight. A long week is drawing to a close.

Sounds like wonderful time at the Guitar Center.
The variety of students would surely test your student management skills as well !!

50 F would be quite cold for us. Perhaps you are used to lower winter temperatures than us.

My BIL was talking to us about his elderly friend who has 5 Gibson guitars and 3 Martins. It didn't really mean a lot of me but I acted impressed.
