Whats For Dinner?

Can't believe it's already Saturday evening and we're getting ready for dinner. Between the site being down and me being busy time has really flown by. We picked up an order from Sam's Club and got a huge bag of baking potatoes. The potatoes are so big that we decided to make a meal out of the potatoes. The potatoes are baking and when they're done we're going to load them up with broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits. A small salad on the side and that's our Saturday night dinner. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. What are you having for dinner? ( lunch or breakfast)

It's Sunday morning here. I also can't believe it's Sunday, that means tomorrow is Monday and time for me to work again. I love my job, it's just that sometimes it could get a little overwhelming. Anyway enjoy your evening.

@Marilynda1225 That is so true. I don't know what's with Monday, but it's literally registered in my brain that it's a tiring day

Our son and his wife picked up a really nice meal for everyone to enjoy. He had 4 chickens, cut up of course, 3 racks of ribs, roasted potatoes, glazed carrots and green beans. He ordered it from a catering company, and picked it up, it was really delicious, but was of course, too much food. His mother-in-law and sister-in-law were commenting on the leftovers and I simply replied that they will be able to enjoy them next week. They swooped in and squashed that idea and literally asked for pans of it to take home. I thought that was very distastefully bold.

@Marilynda1225 I thought of you this morning and decided to make light of our Sunday supper. I seasoned a roast and put it into the slow cooker. That will make for a nice change, and we will enjoy the delicious scent of it as it cooks.

That does sound rude to me for them to swoop in and ask to take food home.

I'm going goofy. Its boxed Mac N Cheese night with broccoli. I have dessert in the oven- its just plums from last summer with sweet bisquit type dough baking over the top.

Although my main meal is lunch, I will cook some pasta in a while because I have some leftover chicken and mushroom sauce. I had it with rice in the morning but I will eat it with pasta tonight.

We had a very filling lunch at a local gyro place we like called Lilly's. I got a lamb gyro with fries and a soda and the wifey got a chicken one. Delicious! But it stuck with us a bit and so we decided to have a lighter dinner, so we just had ham and Swiss sandwiches on toasted bread with some macaroni and cheese on the side. Yummy as well.
