Hello, how has your weekend been? I'm quite tired. I should be getting on with some writing but I only got out of bed about an hour ago (it's almost midday here). I was out yesterday. My sister wanted a girl day with me and her sister-in-law (I might have mentioned it in my previous post about organising things). Sister will hereon be referred to as Dory. Her sister-in-law will be referred to as Apple. Anyway, the three of us went to the city. We had a little bit of food in a Korean restaurant that I'd recommended to them. Between us, we had gyozas, spring rolls, and salmon and cucumber sushi. I didn't have gyozas because I don't like them. I think we had one or two spring rolls each, and I ate most of the sushi. After that, we went to a new (opened December 2024, I think) game place. It's got bowling, table tennis, arcade games, crazy golf, virtual darts, ice-free curling... but we'd booked virtual shooting. It turned out we weren't too bad at it. I did the best, although Dory did have a higher accuracy score at the beginning. That was fun, although there were glitches but the staff were very helpful and added extra time for us to make up what we'd lost. We had a couple of drinks in there as well. The picture I've shared here is the coconut daiquiri I had. It was delicious but smaller than I thought it would be. After the shooting, I played a basketball arcade game. Apple and I went on bumper cars. We came out of that game place to go to a different game place. This one is a smaller place with some similar games to the bigger one. We had more drinks and we had a game of crazier golf (which is like crazy golf but almost impossible). We sat at a table that has swings for seats. Of all the times I've been to this place, this was the first time that table was free when I went! We then went to a Caribbean restaurant for more food before having one last drink at a pub that claims to be the oldest (and is certainly one of the oldest buildings) in the city. We then returned home by train (we'd also travelled there by train). It doesn't take long, and it's easier and cheaper than parking in the city. I had a message from my son asking when I'd be back. He said my husband was wondering. When I got back, I reminded my husband that I'd told him I didn't know how long I'd be. He said he didn't hear me say that. This means either he forgot I said it or he wasn't listening when looking straight at me. Typical husband Dory, Apple, and I had a good time. I'd very much like to do the shooting again, and maybe some other things. Today, I really ought to be getting on with writing but I'm still tired, randomly getting droopy-eyed! I was waiting to find out if I had a part in an upcoming musical that's going to be performed at the theatre where I volunteer. I've not been contacted so I'm assuming I didn't get either part. I'm proud of myself for going for it, especially as it has been the best part of 30 years since I've done anything like that. If I don't have a main part, I should still be in the ensemble. How has your weekend been?

Sounds like a great time. So many different games and activities to choose among. I went to a game arcade during the summer which had many fun games like basketball shooting, hockey board games and pinball. It is a lot of fun. Did you do well with the shooting?

I did do well at the shooting. I won. I didn't think I'd be much good at it but I was!
