The restaurant is now saying its burger special was an "ignorant mistake"

I wrote about this yesterday. A local restaurant which has never had great reviews promoted a "Proud Boys Burger" complete with WHITE AMERICAN CHEESE and CANCEL CULTURE COLE SLAW. Yeah that didn't go over well and now the owners are scrambling to try to save their business. One of the owners did an interview and said that the burger promotion was "an ignorant mistake" and that she thought it was about being proud of a boy. HAHAHAHA no. The owners were seen openly celebrating the Trump pardons for the January 6 insurrectionsts. She was trying to say that it was just a mistake trying to celebrate I guess a boy when the burger description specifically mentioned WHITE American cheese, liberty sauce, etc. Social media isn't having it. The place was never well-reviewed and now it is toast. I wouldn't do the head of lettuce countdown but maybe a pineapple or cantaloupe.

You and I disagree on a lot of things, even mayo vs. Miracle Whip. But this response by this owner was an absolutely ignorant response. Didn't know, hey? Nice try.

Yeah they knew. Apparently they were openly seen cheering the pardons of the J6 rioters. The place was never well-reviewed in the past decade and frankly I'm surprised it has survived this long. I don't think they will make it to the summer.

@porwest Biden COMMUTED sentences. He didn't pardon people other than those who he thought that Trump's DOJ would go after. I really find it disturbing that you are always saying "your side". Aren't we all Americans? Why is it always a you vs me thing?

@NJChicaa We agree on this burger. It was a stupid idea. But it AMAZES me that your side is so up in arms about these J6 pardons but had nothing to say about murderers being commuted by Biden's pardons. Seems like wrongly placed outrage, or shall I just say...PARTISAN outrage. "Trump pardoned the J6 rioters? Of all the low down dirty rotten most vile corrupt idiotic things to do!!!!!" "Biden pardoned some murderers? Well, presidents pardon people all the time. He must have had good reason. What's the big deal?"

@NJChicaa I hope so. And, just between you and me, I also hope that the people who govern your country are out of business soon too.

How convenient, it was "just a mistake" and "I did not understand". I get tired of people not owning up to what they do wrong.

It was an intentional choice. They were ignorant if they were thinking this would draw in more business. A serious business mistake indeed and looks like they are already paying for it.

I actually think it's kind of funny. But I would have expected a Liberal with a sense of irony to be behind it. We live in pretty "ignorant times." I am often scratching my head.

Nope they are ignorant racists and they will be out of business soon. They have another popular Italian restaurant that will be toast too.

No, it wasn’t “ignorant.” “Ignorant” means “lacking knowledge.” As Ron White says, you can fix ignorance by learning. You can’t fix stupid.
