And January is almost over. Health insurance.

The day goes by and so does the month. I close my eyes and it is almost yesterday that I decided not to go out for Christmas or New Year because I was just out of the hospital. Now I have to pay what I owe to the hospital for my days there. I will be more than what I thought it would be. But that´s the way it is. When I was at the hospital, it was full. I had to stay almost a day in the intensive care unit because there was no room. Now I wonder who has the money to pay for that. The hospital I went to is the biggest in the city and I have a special plan for it with my health insurance. What sort of health insurance plans do you have? My own is very expensive, considering my retirement money but very inexpensive in relation to other plans. I will probably have to spend less in food and other things for a few months while I pay the hospital bill

We have a health card but as a benefit to my husband's work. We also have a stock of the hospital nearby that gives us benefits and discounts as well.

@marguicha I do not know if other hospitals have that kind of stock sold to people but this is like buying a health card

@marguicha That's one thing they changed here when Obama was president. They couldn't refuse you for pre-existing conditions. But now trump has changed that

@wolfgirl569 Trump wants to take care about rich people. He does not mind if the rest just die.

I'm sorry the hospital stay was expensive. I hope it won't take long for you to pay it off.

My situation is simply that I have to keep doing what I have been doing, Thank the Lord each day I have no health complaints and I don't need any medication otherwise they might as well shoot me,

Health insurance plans get expensive as we get older or have any illness. Guess thats universal across the world. I have health insurance through my employer as well as I have taken one personally. Most claims I run it through the employer one , which helps in faster processing. In India , if a helath insurance is active for over 8 years and then claims from the 9th year cannot be rejected. Add to that if there are no claims, then there would be no claim bonus. So decided to get one personally so that in case in future the employer sponsored heth insurance has a challenge , I could make use of the personal one. Sorry to hear about the bill part. Looks like your insurance is better than other available options. Take care!
