Yes, as a Matter of Fact I WOULD Have Dug One Out!

Did you know that Five Below changed many of its store's formats to Five Beyond? Well, they did, and I did not know this until we happened to need to stop at our local one for something my wife needed for her cell phone.
Anyway, right next door to it is an Aldi, and I had no plans on going in there. It's not even the one I normally shop at since it's much farther away. But I figured, I might as well stop in and check their eggs prices.
$3.57 a dozen. Umm, no. You can go to hell.
When I left the store to head back to the truck, I could not help but notice a couple of Aldi carts stuck in a bank of snow and I immediately thought to myself...
Yes, as a matter of fact I WOULD have dug one out and happily walked away with a free quarter. As a matter of fact, I ALSO might have considered going back for the other one.
I kid you not. Don't tease me with free quarters and expect I won't seize upon the opportunity before me.
In this case I did not dig out the carts, but I did snap a picture.

That's fine. I can do without them if necessary. WORST case scenario I will have the stock market pay for them if ABSOLUTELY necessary. But it ain't coming out of MY pocket, that's for sure. Even if I'd have dug out those two carts it STILL wouldn't have brought the price in line.

You might check the price of eggs in Missouri if you're going to be passing through for any reason. I believe I paid $4 for an 18 pack a few days ago.

@porwest Missouri is the best price you're going to get unless you can find someone with chickens who will give eggs to you.

@DaddyEvil Usually if I am patient, someone puts them on sale and I grab them up. The last two dozen I got were still pricey at $2.19, but it was better than the current $2.99 at Ruler and $3.57 at Aldi. I don't even bother with Walmart because they always have the most expensive eggs. I always check when I am there, but it's rare I ever walk out of Walmart with eggs.

For the reason that winters can be harsh in Latvia, the supermarkets all had these long tarp-covered buildings so hard to explain well anyway the carts all were under tarp roofs all year so if snow came they did not get stuck in any of it,

Would it have been a lot of effort to get those quarters?
Does Five Beyond mean prices $5 and up?
$3.57 for a dozen eggs is a good price based on todays prices. Last time my mom got eggs at Lidl they were five and change.

@porwest I agree but I gotta have my eggs lol. If I go by $2 and below I will remain eggless. No such prices here.

@lovebuglena I continue to be eggless aside from the 3 I have left. At Ruler today they were $3.99. Nope. Not paying that. I left them in the store.

Gee, you could have used those quarters towards a lower egg price. The price on eggs is definitely "for the birds." Bird flu that is.
Five Below to Five Beyond very creative. What marketing genius thought of that one!

@dgobucks226 It's like I told another myLotter friend of ours, it will take time to get the wheels greased. But once they are greased...it's ON.

Nope. I’ll bend over and pick up a penny (with the comment, “Hey, I’m that much closer to being a millionaire!”
), but no extreme effort. I scrubbed heads for money while in the Navy, that’s enough.

$3.57 is INR323.84. I have to spend INR80 for a dozen eggs. Works out cheaper if you keep hens. I used to and there were plenty of eggs around.
