Can you believe I just told Kitty (as she curling up at my feet) "You Will Obey"? What horrible fate awaits me tomorrow? Will I almost be run over in a Safeway parking lot (again) by a 90-year-old woman? (That was yesterday.) Will I suffer from gout? Will I stop having enjoyable fantasies about French girls on airplanes who tell me I need to use the quadratic formula to solve my interest in the Golden Rectangle formula (x/1 = 1/(1 plus x)? I can only imagine.
I feel my bed calling.

You know what happens when you tell cats “You must obey”? Ever watched Carson’s reaction to Don Rickles, Robin Williams, Bob Uecker, or Rodney Dangerfield?? THAT’S what happens…except the cat is too stubborn to show it externally.
