Michael Nordenstrom was riding his mountain bike in Green River Utah on Monday January 20 when he saw a bighorn sheep struggling to get out of the frozen San Rafael River. Michael used a tamarisk root sticking root sticking out of the riverbank when Michael grabbed the horn with one of his hands while he grabbed the horn of the sheep with his other hand to get the animal out of harm's way. Michael said that even though he risked his life getting the bighorn sheep out of the frozen river, the sheep did not make his rescue mission that hard to execute in a time span of six to seven minutes. Michael left the bighorn sheep at the riverbank while he went back to his mountain bike. Link is kutv.com/news/local/mou...

Hopefully, after a rest the bighorn would be able to continue on his way. They are well-named, aren't they?

That would be a big task for an older gent, as this guy looks to me, as these types of sheep are weighty animals, but it appeared that the sheep wanted to be rescued; the sheep cooperated; and so it was easier to pull it out.
