Those friends who have been following me know that I'm building a house for my family. I bought the plot in 2017. l could not start any building work until 2022. Since then three years have passed but the house is not ready for living in it. On the positive side, the house is standing. Only washrooms and the kitchen remain to be furnished. Water and electricity supply has to arranged for. Doors and windows are not ready yet. By the end of this year I will have to leave the present place of work and take away my family to the new house. I have a limited amount of fund . I have to use my fund wisely and within this short period of time I will have to make the humble abode to move in. The most basic amenities must be there to welcome us . The annual national budget will be presented in two months and it will invariably cause a price rise. Everything will be costlier. And therefore I am in a hurry to complete the house building work. I dont think I am obsessed but if I didn't get the house ready soon I might have to sit under the open sky , me and my family.

I don't see that as obsessed but obviously it is a bit of a concern. I hope everyting goes well with the rest of the construction.

Good luck with the house building. I know it could be challenging.

I feel you. I am also building a house for me and my family, but since teaching is not a high-paying job, the house project is in very slow progress. It's making me more stress, and I always feel like I have to work more or find a better job that pays high. It's frustrating sometimes.
