My microsoft account was locked

I wondered why my microsoft account was locked. It was stated there that I have done something that violated their rule. However, I really did not know what. As far as I can remember, I made several attempts to recover my account but it was not recovered so I opened another account with almost the same username or email address but I only add numbers to look different.
Have you also experienced something like this?

No, I've never had that happen. I hope you don't have any problems with your new Microsoft account.

@DaddyEvil Thanks for that. I already recovered the account however I could not browse in microsoft edge yet since I was yet to submit some data. I was blocked due to insufficient information.

Microsoft's security is mixed. If you just use an e-mail address and password it can (and has) been broot forced. Meaning someone has gotten into your acount, and because the account is in your name, you take responsibility for it.
What you should do is contact microsoft and try to get your orginal account back. When and if you do, secure it with 2fa Two-factor authtentocation. In this way, if someone tries to use your account, it's imidatly blocked. I use an athentactor app and passkeys and don't even need my password.
