My son's mother-in-law is prescribed to undergo a surgery. I don't know the procedure but I know that a pacemaker will be inserted in her heart during the surgery. This procedure is not yet scheduled as they are still researching as to how much will this cost. Do you have any idea as to how much will be spent for this? My cousin underwent this procedure but that was over 4 years already and it was in Cebu City. He had spent over Php 500K.

They are still planning to ask for a second opinion. The first that they looked into was the Philippine Heart Center, I don't know how much will be incurred in that hospital.

@rakski Yes, they can. But they went home to Isabela, I don't know when they are coming back for the procedure. They usually stay in Cavite where my son and their daughter live.

I am not sure about the expenses in your country. I hope that it is within their affordable budget. My brother got pacemaker in 2018 and has been doing good since then. It was covered under his medical insurance.

Glad that your brother is doing fine. So there is nothing to fear about this procedure then. Thanks for that.

I'm not sure how much they cost but I know that when it comes to heart surgeries they cost a pretty penny.
