Suddenly, I feel older than I am

The madam in my family has been suggesting that I should register myself for the government old age pension. I realise acutely that I need this government sponsored benefit. Soon , I will retire from the foster parenting job and Children Home office will stop giving me the little monetary support it has given me so far . Today, I went to the Government at your Doorstep office ( Duare Sarkar ). Getting the form and filling it up was easy but l had to line up for an hour or more to get my income certificate done. It was tiring but at the end I was satisfied that my application form was received and registered. I have to keep my fingers crossed for the approval message from the government. Is there any such scheme at your place? Please share about it.

At least for now you are getting paid. I wish you well in getting a government approval. I think appearance is also important.

Getting Social Security for some people like me is the only way they can get on in life, I was lucky I had worked for 8 years in the US before I moved to Riga Latvia so when I returned to the US my SS was here and waiting for me,

We have been on a pension for quite some time. We're very lucky to have this help. If your income is below a certain level, you get a few other benefits such as help with medications.

In my country you can retire after a certain amount of years of work. Still the retirement pension is very small.

Glad that the work was done after that wait time. I hope that you receive some message from the government soon.

I hope that you can get your pension in the future. It will help you for your everyday living. I feel older too but I'm a middle age woman since I'm still single and no boyfriend since birth!
