Packages Take So Long To Get Here Nowadays

Other than Amazon, which has its own delivery system, packages seem to be taking forever to get here.
I resent companies charging shipping or promising shipping through UPS only to hand it off to the USPS (United States Postal Service) because they're unreliable and keep making excuses for higher prices and worse service.
Between the two of us hubby and I have about 4 packages in transit somewhere yet to be determined when to be delivered and some of them have been a couple of weeks already.
If online didn't offer such good prices, I'd be tempted to just shop in person now and avoid the "waiting game" for my delivery.

Amazon might soon be our go-to delivery system. That might be what they’re trying for.

I tell anyone expecting a package from me via the USPS to count on it being delivered at least two days after it says it would be. Sometimes it actually sits there for a week before being delivered. And I’m still upset about the stolen mail this past Christmas.

We don't face such issues here..they are mostly on time or before time. Right now, I am waiting for one jeans for my daughter. It was supposed to be delivered on 24th Jan. The customer care told me that it's coming from an international destination in the US and the delay is on their part. They were apologetic.
