Update on the Friend Who Had The Stroke

Monday I told you that my husband's best friend had been rushed to the hospital. He either had a stroke or what they call an "exasperation" which is something people have sometimes when they've had a stroke previously if their stress level (mental or physical, mostly physical) gets too high. They kept him two nights in the Intensive Care Unit, then released him after a bunch of tests. They had him on blood thinners while he was in the hospital and used the "Strokebuster" medication in the Emergency Room to thwart a stroke, but he's on no additional medications since his release. He's taking things slow. He didn't suffer any paralysis or anything. He has to see a slew or doctors and neurologists now for more exhaustive testing outpatient.

I’m thankful he’s “okay,” but that has to be scary as all get-out.

Those strokebuster meds are something. I had a relative who had that administered. I really hope he’ll be okay.
