Book Review: Christmas By Design by Allie Samberts

I am way behind in reviews. I have 6 books sitting here waiting for me to post my reviews. When you get that far behind you don't want to make the effort. At least I don't. 
I'm focusing on the reading more than the reviews.

Interior designer Beckett Camdon is decidedly not ful of Christmas cheer. His idea of a perfect holiday is sitting my his sleek, gas fireplace with a brandy, a good book, and his cat. But when his boss asks him to pair up with Gemma, the resident ray of light and lover of all things Christmas, he has his work cut out for him.
Gemma Woodard is a project manager for flipping houses, and she's damn good at it. Not that any of the men she works with notice. Her abilities are overshadowed by the fact that she's a woman - and a single mom to two-year-old Nova. She won't let that get her down, though. She's determined to take on this flip, even if it means she has to do it with grouchy Beckett Camdon.
As they work together more and more, an undeniable attraction grows. And when they find themselves snowed in at th ehouse they're supposed to be flipping, that spark gets harder to ignore.
Will Beckett and Gemma's desire melt away after just one night, or will it snowball into something more? One thing's for sure - this Christmas, they might find themselves wrapped up in more than just holiday decorations.

I would give this 3.75 stars. I couldn't bring myself to give it 4. The grumpy vs grumpy trope really brought me down for, well, the first half of the book. But I loved the ending.
Other tropes: Forced proximaty, co-workers, possibly forbidden romance, single parent, age gap (is 10 years considered an age gap?).
It really was a lovely novella and definitely had the Christmas vibe to it. I was glad I picked this book up.
At this point, should I not bother doing the reviews for holiday reads. I am determined to get through some if not all of them.
