The broken tiles will be replaced. . .

. . . in 1-2 months. Maintenance finally arrived to look at the tiles. He agreed that 5 of them need to be replaced. They've been renovating and upgrading apartments as tenants move out and they keep things like the old unbroken tiles to use as replacements in situations like this. Fine. I don't care that they won't be brand new. What I don't like though is that it might take up to 2 months for them to fix this. The guy said that they are very busy with apartment renovations and emergency situations. Um seriously? You can't take an hour out of a day to send someone over to just fix them while everyone else is upgrading an apartment? He said I could try to push the issue with management as he isn't the head maintenance guy who sets the priorities. I'm not going to though. I see no need to piss off the head guy (or any of the other maintenance people). They are better to me than they are to some of the other people I know in this complex.

They’re as slow as the people in my apartment complex (when it comes to the tiles, that is). Getting hot water again has taken so long it isn’t funny.

Sometimes what seems like a small fix takes a lot longer than you would think. At least, that's how it is when Vin and I tackle some things.

I hope they find a way to get the job done sooner.
