Funny to write the date that way. I have had this strange problem as of late where I wake up with dry, yet sticky lips. It is annoying and kind of gross as well. I am not sure why it is happening. I hate waking up like that when my lips are "normal" when I go to bed. I wonder if putting on chapstick or maybe even a little bit of petroleum jelly before sleep would help. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas?

I used to use Vaseline, but then I bought a lip mask that helped. I slathered it on my lips at night, and by morning they were soft and normal.

@AmbiePam Thanks, but I think I might order some from Amazon. It comes in a 4 pack, and maybe I will give ttwo of them to mom and sis for an Easter or early Mother's Day present. I am going to be up there for Easter hopefully.

Maybe a humidifier in the house would help

I think I will go with the least expensive option first.

Maybe it is because of the weather, or maybe you are lack in drinking water. Sometimes your lips becomes dry and sticky because you lack water. But that's my thoughts, you can consult a doctor if that's really bothers you... sometimes our body is giving us signal if something wasn't right inside us.

I find that I am applying petroleum jelly several times a day. I should try to drink more during the day to avoid that.

I can not drink alot of liquids in the evening as it causes problems, I really could and should drink more water during the day though. I do drink other beverages though.

I have very dry lips at night now and often put chapstick on somewhere in the middle of the night. They're not really sticky though.

Yeah, I'd try some oil (such as ricin) or balm that should prevent lips from getting dry. I don't know if it has to do with hypersalivation or some breathing issues during sleep, or something else entirely, then solutions could differ.
